Ed Pien is a Canada based installation artist interested in belief systems and ways of seeing the world. For his residency at Chinese Arts Centre, Pien will explore his interest in beliefs and perceptions of reality with particular reference to the perception and experience of immigration. Capturing the prevailing mood of life in China today, My China Now is a collection of 33 short documentaries, animations, art house films and features that are to be screened for the first time in the UK. The collection is being screened in the Tea House at Chinese Arts Centre as part of CHINA NOW, the UK’s largest ever festival of Chinese culture. More details>>

Mediha Ting

Mediha Ting is a London based painter whose work explores notions of place and the artist’s experience as a ‘modern day nomad’. For her First Step exhibition at Chinese Arts Centre, Ting presents Fragmented London, a vibrant series of work which reflect the diversity of her current locale interweaved with the collected memories she has experienced on her many travels.
