Chinese Arts Centre - Agency

Chinese Arts Centre advocates the importance of all aspects of Chinese creativity. We act as a broker, forging relationships between venues and artists. This agency technique has been successfully applied in work with local authorities, museums including the Victoria & Albert Museum, London, performing arts venues such as The Place and companies ranging from Audi to Cathay Pacific. Taking organisations new to Chinese work through a comprehensive programme of audience development, Chinese Arts Centre works to ensure that Chinese arts remain high on the agenda.

Some past examples of Chinese Arts Centre's agency work include:

Trafford Shopping Centre - Every Chinese New Year, Chinese Arts Centre organises a full scale celebration for the Traffod Shopping Centre. The performances range from a lively lion dance parade and exciting martial arts to traditional Chinese music and Cantonese Opera.

Selfridges - Chinese Arts Centre provided a series of traditional Chinese art and crafts demonstrations over a two week period. Customers were able to have their names written in Chinese calligraphy and make paper crafts while they shop.

Museum of Science & Industry, Manchester - To compliment the launch of the 'Myths & Monsters' exhibition at the museum, Chinese Arts Centre together with Aayyaa's project developed a series of Dragon making workshops. Our workshops incorporated many aspects of Chinese arts and culture from dance to poetry.

Chinese Arts Centre can tailor make a package for your organisation, mixing different elements to suit your needs. The cost of agency work varies depending on your requirements. For further information please contact Cloudy Tan on 0161 832 7271, e-mail: sales@chinese-arts-centre.org
